Dear snavekram,

Our April talk is title "Marvellous Multiples" and will be given by yours truly.

As you have probably noticed this is not the usual 2nd Monday in the month because that would be Easter Monday and the University is closed. So for this month only we are the 1st Monday i.e. 2nd of April.

It will take place LT27 Wilberforce Building of the University of Hull. For a detailed map see http://www.heras.org.uk/index.php?page=21.

Multiple stars encompasses all types of star systems whether they are optical doubles, true binary stars or even 3 or more stars in a system.  They offer a great target through the telescope but also are very useful to scientists.

For more on multiple stars see;

I can't promise I will be able to answer all your questions but I hope to make the talk both interesting and entertaining.

Best Regards,
Mark Evans
