M17 - the Swan Nebula

Finally managed to catch some clear skies a couple of weeks ago...it took me a while to get around to processing, and a while more experimenting with different methods of removing the light pollution gradients whilst maintaining definition and colour saturation in the Swan and surrounding fainter nebulosity - not sure whether or not I went a bit too far, but I've grown to like the 'artistic / aesthetic' approach to processing - especially when it brings out the star colours too.
Canon EOS 300D, Orion EON 80mm, 16 x 90 secs. Calibrated / stacked in IRIS, post processing in photoshop.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Like the way you managed to bring out the background nebulosity.
Cheers Allan
