I was fortunate enough to be at the Kennedy Space Centre on 16th November to experience the launch of Atlantis on an 11 day mission to the ISS. This was an incredible occasion starting at 7.00 a.m. for the launch at 2.28 p.m. (US time). NASA laid on a big screen presentation showing everything that was happening and previous shuttle astronauts to explain it. Then the actual launch. The only way to describe it is AWESOME.
